When I am in a hurry- which is every day- smoothies are my easy go-to snack.  People think smoothies are a lot of work, but I disagree, being hungry is a lot of work.  Make a quick smoothie and go!! I love smoothies because you can pack a lot of flavor and vitamins into something you just throw in a cup.  Yes, you have to pull out a bunch of containers and dirty a blender but really, it’s a better option than most other quick”ish” things.  My smoothies are not meal replacers, they are mid-morning or afternoon powerhouse snacks.  They aren’t designed to fill you up for the entire day- they are a mix of delicious, real foods to give you energy until your next meal.  Here’s my secret recipe-

2 giant handfuls of organic spinach

1 handful of frozen organic mangoes

¼-1/2 cup blueberries

1 Tablespoon Organic Natural Peanut Butter (Not Jiffy or Skippy)

1 giant scoop of Vital Proteins

Freshly grated Ginger (I store mine in the freezer) 

Freshly grated Turmeric (I store mine in the freezer)

About 1 cup of water
