As we waltz into a New Year, I want to take a moment to catch you up on a few things. I realized I left you hanging on a few older posts and want to regroup to show you progress, give you my opinion and tell ya what’s up!

Remember the post, “Hello Honey-Do List”? I talked about getting our hands dirty and giving our kitchen a mini-makeover. I realized, I never showed you any after-photos. We did complete most of the project before the busy ice fishing season started but not it’s no “fully finished.” The whole update is done, but I never got around to recovering our dining room chairs, the walls are still bare and it’s been kind of a mess since we started the proejct. I’ve been too lazy to get it squeaky clean for a photo, but since you’ve been asking, here are the before-and after-photos!

Are we loving it? Absolutely, but we are still ready to move!!! We need a bigger house!! As always, we’ve said several times; we can’t believe we didn’t do it sooner! The light colors have changed the feel of our old-ass house; it’s bright, fresh and cheery! I’d like to give a big shout out to Uplift Your Life Feng Shui owner Pam Braunwarth for helping me choose these amazing colors! If you need help sprucing up, changing your layout or learning more about Feng Shui, Pam is your lady!

My hair: Over the past two months, I’ve gotten a lot of compliments on my hair! If you read my post, “Hair Goals”, you know my secret. It’s hand-tied extensions and not the prenatal vitamins! Laure Lee Hair Design specializes in hand-tied hair extensions. If you’re like me, you are drooling over celebs’ hairstyles and now I’ve got my own. It’s thick AF, has the coolest textures and makes a statement! Well, it’s all fake! Pinterest photos are hardly achievable for any magical beautician because the photos you are showing them are most likely loaded with extensions! I took the plunge and added some Chinese hair to my already thick hair in November and it’s been a blast! A few questions I’ve been asked:

Are they hard to keep up? No. Not at all! I literally never wash my hair. Maybe once every 5 or sodays. The blow-drying process sucks, because it takes about 30 minutes but then I curl them and bam – I’m good for almost a week. I sleep with my hair in loose braids; this gives me the cool texture I was always chasing! When I need to quickly style, I toss in a few fresh curls. The added hair has enhanced a bouncy ponytail and a top-notch top knot! Plus, headbands are back and I’m obsessed! Hair goals! I’ll keep rocking the party hair!

How often do you have to get them adjusted? Every 8 to 10ish weeks, depending how they look. I went back at 7 weeks because Laura was about to have her third baby! I wanted to get in before she was taking a maternity leave. She said I could have easily made it up to 3 more weeks before a refresh. This time, I’m going to wait 10 weeks to see how they look and feel. I should also note that Laura just informed me you can color the hair because it’s real, so maybe after baby arrives mama adds some spring highlights!

Check out Laura Lee Hair Design and get some dreamy hair already!

Awaken & Rise: the 9-month program to enhance my spiritual growth and level me up is going strong. I’ve been dedicated to meditating almost daily; here’s my FAVE guided meditation. I am trying to manifest abundance, so I set a goal to complete this meditation by Bob Proctor every day for a month. I am already 10 days strong! The meditation usually turns into a nap, which is cool with me! Sleep is badass self-care and I clearly need it. The program has kept me motivated to keep up with my daily rituals (find those here!).

I’ve added evening reading to my nightly routine while removing screen time. I’ve read a few awesome books (The Energy Codes, The Journey Into Now, The Untethered Soul, Om Sweet Om). I’ve been paying attention to what triggers me (copiers- read this post to see me get heated!), and definitely made some shifts in my attitude and energy. I’m a highly motivated person (find my 2020 goals here), I enjoy spending time alone participating in self-care and protecting my energy while putting myself first.

The Awaken & Rise program has continued to help me make these shifts. Either way my two biggest pieces of advice to you are 1. Keep your grass watered; it’s the best way to keep it green. 2. Shape It Up: Your ass, Your attitude, Your life! We have an all-day retreat coming up filled with restorative yoga and aura readings with Bobby Sullivan. I’ll update you on what I learn, what my aura shows and, as always, I’ll give you the updates on leveling up and how living it up will continue into 2020!

My Pregnancy Food Bucket List can be found here in a fun post! Otherwise if you’re follow @liveitupwithmegan on IG, you probably know what I’m eating! Right now, lots of citrus fruit! I didn’t do too bad over Christmas, a few cookies here and there, but considering no wine, cocktails, White Russins, IPAs, or martinis I think I’m actually calories behind. Cheers to my last sober Holiday Season Ever!
