Ok people, it’s almost time to yell Happy New Year and launch this new business already! I was really envisioning a total Cali Swag influencer-style launch party with all the glitter, all the fancy cocktails and the coolest key note speaker I could find. Then I remembered I’m 30ish weeks pregnant, I hate clothes and the only thing getting lit at my house is sage! Bring on the fresh energy, tomorrow is 2020!
Does anyone else want everything holiday cleaned up? I don’t mind putting it up in November, but by January 1st, see ya! Those damn Christmas tree needles drive me bonkers! A clean, organized and tidy house go perfect with a sober New Year’s Eve, followed by a 90-minute sweat session on New Year’s Day. (I’m co-teaching a total body boot camp tomorrow 8:30-10 a.m. JOIN ME) For those who start the year off with clutter, a hangover and McDonald’s – good luck!
I’ve never loved NYE; it’s overrated in my books! The whole “party until you can’t stand and then wake up in a fog” is dumb. Even for a girl who loves Living It Up. I prefer to save myself the depressed hung-over funk for a few weeks past the fresh start. It only took me 30-ish years to figure that out! So, don’t feel bad if it’s your favorite Holiday and you “officially” start 2020 off on the 2nd, 4th or 10th. It’s a new week every Monday and a fresh start every morning! Give yourself a break, but if you want to set yourself for success, don’t skip your NEW goal/s tomorrow. Drag your hung-over ass to the gym, to the grocery store so you can meal prep, sit down and meditate, lace up and go out for a walk, pick up the book or hit sign-up for whatever you plan to commit to this year. You will thank me later! Otherwise, just have a few cocktails tonight with plenty of water in between, eat something delicious, go to bed whenever you feel like it and then wake up to a NEW YEAR fresh AF.
Then set a reminder in your calendar to stay tuned for January 7th Launch Day – T-minus one week from today!! Finally, the new business adventure will go blast! I’ll pop a can of La Croix, answer all your questions and – of course –get to business running the show while trying to hit my first goal: 1,000 followers by the end of the month! It will be fun! Who knows where this adventure will take me!
Remember: No fear, I’m jacked! Happy New Year and thank you for following along on this epic journey.
