What’s the hold up?

You might be wondering, “When is Megan going to tell us what her damn new business is?” I know, waiting is annoying. I’m annoyed – impatient – too! But all good things are worth the wait! Let me tell you about the hold up and a few more details to keep you guessing! (Here’s a teaser about “the look”) I made this a few months ago to give my graphic designer an idea of my vision!

The website for my new adventure is nearly finished but, if you’ve ever built a website, you know that stock photos hold the space you are waiting to fill until you have original content. Some people use stock images but not me! I like everything I do to be 100% original! I like things to be thought out, detailed, authentic and – above all – capture my unique vision. Of course I get inspiration from everything around me, but then I must put the Megan twist on it. This is what makes something mine (or, yours, when you put ‘your’ twist on things)!!! Stock images are too perfect for me. Nothing I do is perfect, it’s real and made from scratch! From your feedback, this is what you love so much about the things I do! Yes, I am 100% real, I have real feelings, a real opinion and work really hard to be authentic.

I keep wondering, if someone paid me enough money could I be bought? I don’t think so! I just can’t lie or put content out that isn’t exactly how I feel or what I believe. So, no stock images! Today, I’m rocking a photoshoot with Ashley Schram and Jen Houghton to capture some material for the new website. I am really excited to work with these ladies! My good friend, Maren Delaney, is coming along for the ride! Maren is a fantastic photographer in Waconia, MN. Over the past 9 years, Maren and I have worked together on many occasions. She always nails my requests while making the images 100% authentically Maren! I love her photography skills, her attention to details, the way she edits and, most of all, the natural light look she captures so well! She’s fantastic, please check her out! Next, I need some updated photos of me – yes, bump’n belly and all!! I like to post real-time photos of myself; I’ve got nothing to hide! Yes, I feel larger than life, my face is chunkier than usual, I’m not feeling thin, sexy or very confident but baby, this is my life! So, I need photos of me now also for the site and this blog. I’m hoping Maren wants to hang out with me all week so we can get these glamor shots taken! The Amazon boxes keep arriving – bringing me bigger clothes for a bigger body! Someone please slap me and tell me to love this expanding body more!!

As we work hard to coordinate many people and schedules for photography, I’m also planning other fun details! Once the website and this new biz goes LIVE, I want to keep the momentum up and fans raving! Again, you’ve heard me say it before, but I want to make sure when it blows up, I’m ready, set, rock & roll! As I keep answering your emails, IG questions and many requests, I’ll tell you one service that’s coming soon. After being asked, friends telling me, and psychics saying “Do it,” I’m adding a Boss with Megan Package!
